A Transit Center is planned by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) for the Takoma/Langley Crossroads area, to be located at the northwest corner of the University Boulevard and New Hampshire Avenue intersection at the current Taco Bell restaurant site.

The Transit Center will improve pedestrian safety by making it easier and more convenient to transfer from one bus route to another by providing a central location for the many bus routes that serve the Crossroads. The Transit Center will include an attractive shelter and comfortable place for people waiting for buses. The project would also include a building to house transit information and restroom facilities.
