Approximately 170,000 people live within a half-mile radius of the Purple Line alignment, and the new transit service will introduce opportunities to Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and beyond to help bring more equitable economic development through improved transit access.

The Purple Line is a great example of transit, which is particularly relevant as we enter Earth Month. Electricity makes it go, and boy, have we got power. We reached a major milestone for the project in March, installing the first of 10 traction power substations (TPSS) in Glenridge.
